Beach Baptisms

Yesterday after church, Keith, Alex and I, along with several of our friends, piled in our car and headed to Cocoa Beach.

The beach was so crowded, but we expected that, since we were meeting several hundred people.

Well, not just people.
Family.  Our church family.  Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

We all meet twice a year out at the beach for a special baptism service.
Beach baptisms are one of my favorite things that our church does.

It is just so amazing to stand on the beach and just stare out at the ocean.
There is just no way to deny, in that instance, how big our God is.

Then, to look over and see hundreds of people, wearing the same blue shirt, lined up ready to profess Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of their life.  To watch, as one by one, they brave the angry Atlantic, to follow the Lord in believers baptism.

So amazing!  So exciting!
There is just nothing else like it.

  1. Hey Jackie,
I just got a chance to check out your blog. I enjoyed getting to read how life is going for you guys. Sounds like a lot of exciting stuff. I am jealous of your disney world trips though.

  2. attending baptisms are one of my all-time favorite things to do! i cry EVERY time. our chuch does it in a freezing mountain river. the ocean looks SO neat, too! (and probably much warmer). Praise God for newly saved souls!
