...that Alex has never lived in a home longer than two and a half years.

Keith and I have been married for over twelve years. And in that over twelve years, we have lived in five different states and in eight different homes.

I really thought this would be the year we could break our record, our not living in a home longer than two and a half years record, but it isn't.

Not this year.

We're moving.
{not far. not churches. not cities. not states.}
Just moving.

Unfortunately, we are the next victims of this crazy economy.  Our landlord is not going to be able to keep our home, his house, any longer.  He's selling, so we're moving.

Sometimes, I feel like an Israelite.  Remember in Joshua (chapter 1) where they were told to get their supplies ready because in three days they would cross the Jordan to go in and take possession of the land the LORD their God was giving them?

Well, we are getting our supplies ready because in three days we are crossing the Jordan, er, I mean, the backyard, to take possession of the home the Lord our God is giving us.
To rent.  Right behind ours.

God is so faithful to provide our every need.
"Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.  Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others."   {1 Timothy 6:17-18}
Although Alex may not be in this house for more than two years, he will be in the same neighborhood. With the same friends. I'll take it.

  1. Bless your hearts!!! At least you get to stay in the same neighborhood, it is so nice there!

    Did you receive your immigration approval yet? Hopefully you did!

  2. Ugh. I hate moving. Good luck with the move. I hope you have nice weather!
